Who We Are
New Life Church is a Bible-believing fellowship located in Wanamingo, Minnesota. Our mission is to glorify God by growing together in faith, serving our community, and sharing the love of Jesus Christ with the world. We are a welcoming church family, dedicated to deepening our relationship with God through worship, prayer, and studying His Word.
Whether you’re new to church, returning after some time away, or looking for a church home, we want you to know there’s a place for you here. At New Life, you’ll find a community of people walking through real life together—encouraging one another, bearing each other’s burdens, and celebrating the faithfulness of God in every season.
At New Life, we believe the church isn’t just a building—it’s a people. And as people saved by grace, we are committed to living out the gospel in both word and action. Whether we’re serving in our neighborhoods, supporting missions, or coming alongside one another in prayer, everything we do is for the glory of God and the good of His people.
Our Story
Nearly 30 years ago, a group of men from various area churches began gathering every Saturday morning to pray for a Christ-centered, Bible-based church in Wanamingo. God answered their prayers, and in 1999, a core group of families—supported by First Baptist Church in West Concord—launched New Life Church.
In the early days, NLC was a "church in a box," meeting in a school and setting up everything from nursery items to sound equipment each Sunday. In 2004, God provided a permanent home, allowing the church to grow and expand its ministries both locally and globally.
Today, New Life Church is committed to spreading the Gospel, serving the community, and strengthening faith through Bible studies, youth programs, missions, and outreach. We are excited to see what God has in store for the future!
What we believe
The Bible is God’s inspired Word with authority to direct our lives.
There is one true God in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
God the Father is holy and loving. He watches over us all and accomplishes His purposes in the world.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died for our sins and rose again.
The Holy Spirit is present and at work in every believer’s life.
Man was created in God’s image, but his sin separates him from God.
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus alone.
The Church is Christ’s body and the key instrument of God’s working in the world today.
Jesus Christ will return to earth and rule for a thousand years
Church and state are separate.
Believers should be faithful stewards of God’s blessings and be active in a local body of believers.
The Lord helps Christians grow together.
